Does SnapGleam require an account?
No. The current free version does not require a RANURANU account. Screenshot processing is designed around a browser-local workflow.
What is scroll-extended area capture?
It lets you select an area and continue the same capture while the page scrolls beyond the current viewport. It is useful when you need one long section rather than the entire page.
Can SnapGleam capture local HTML files?
Yes, SnapGleam is designed to support local
file:// HTML pages. Chrome may require you to allow the extension access to file URLs in the extension settings.What can I export?
The current workflow supports copying and PNG export, with PDF export available for appropriate captures such as long pages.
Does RANURANU only make screenshot tools?
No. SnapGleam focuses on screenshots, while FootageMark focuses on recorded-video research and editor handoff. RANURANU is designed to keep adding focused Chrome extensions, web tools, and lightweight apps over time.
Troubleshooting
Try these checks before sending a support message. They solve many browser-extension issues without requiring a reinstall.
A full-page capture looks different from the page
- Wait for dynamic content, web fonts, and images to finish loading.
- Pause animations, auto-updating widgets, or sticky UI if they are changing while the page scrolls.
- Try the capture again at 100% browser zoom.
- If the page uses unusual fixed or sticky elements, include that detail in your support message.
Scrolling capture stops or misses part of the area
- Make sure the page itself can scroll normally before starting.
- Avoid changing tabs or resizing the window during capture.
- Try a slightly smaller selected region if the page has nested scroll containers.
- Tell us whether the page uses an inner scrolling panel rather than the browser window.
Local HTML does not work
- Open Chrome → Extensions → Manage Extensions.
- Open SnapGleam’s details.
- Enable Allow access to file URLs.
- Reload the local HTML page and try again.
Element capture selects the wrong thing
- Move the pointer slowly over the intended element.
- Try selecting the nearest stable container rather than a tiny nested child.
- If overlays or menus are covering the page, close them first.
- Include a non-sensitive screenshot if the same site consistently causes a problem.
Feature requests
Good feature requests describe the problem first. That helps us understand whether a new control, capture mode, export option, or entirely new tool is the right answer.
What makes a useful request?
Tell us what you were trying to do, what made the current workflow awkward, and what a better outcome would look like. You do not need to design the solution for us.
Include these points in your email:
- Product: which RANURANU tool the request is about
- Goal: what you were trying to accomplish
- Friction: what currently gets in the way
- Context: an example workflow, page type, or use case
