Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the SnapGleam Chrome extension and the SnapGleam product pages on RANURANU handle information.

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the SnapGleam Chrome extension and the SnapGleam product pages at ranuranu.com/apps/snapgleam/. SnapGleam is a RANURANU product.

2. Information handled by the extension

Website content and screenshot data

When you start a capture, SnapGleam processes the visual content of the page or area you selected. Depending on the capture mode, it may also read layout information such as page dimensions, scroll position, and element geometry so it can select, scroll, crop, or stitch the requested capture.

Current page URL and title

During a user-initiated capture, SnapGleam may read the active page URL, hostname, and title for capture operation and useful default filenames. The current extension is not designed to maintain a browsing-history database.

Extension settings

Preferences and temporary workflow data may be stored in Chrome extension storage on your device.

3. Purpose and local processing

The information above is used only to provide the disclosed screenshot functionality: selecting content, capturing visible pixels, scrolling for long captures, stitching or cropping images, generating previews, copying images, and saving or exporting files.

The current screenshot workflow is designed to process screenshot data locally in the browser rather than send captures to a SnapGleam-operated screenshot processing server.

4. Temporary and retained data

When a preview is required, capture data may be stored temporarily in browser-local extension storage so the preview page can access it. Settings may remain locally until changed or the extension’s local data is removed.

5. Sharing, sale, analytics, and advertising

SnapGleam does not sell captured screenshots, website content, browsing information, or extension settings. The current extension does not include third-party advertising or third-party behavioral analytics.

6. Local HTML

If you enable Chrome’s Allow access to file URLs option, SnapGleam can capture local file:// pages that you explicitly open and choose to capture. That access is used for the same screenshot purpose described above.

7. Product website and email

The SnapGleam product site does not require an account. If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include so we can respond. Hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical request information needed to deliver the website.

8. Chrome Web Store user-data commitments

SnapGleam’s handling of information obtained through Chrome APIs is intended to follow the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements. Data obtained for the screenshot feature is used only as necessary to provide or improve that disclosed user-facing functionality.

9. Future changes

If future account, cloud, analytics, advertising, or paid features materially change these practices, this policy and relevant user-facing disclosures will be updated before the new practices apply.

10. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to contact@ranuranu.com.
