1. Acceptance
By using FootageMark, you agree to these Terms of Use and to applicable laws and platform rules. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
2. Product status
FootageMark v1.0.0 is publicly available through its official Chrome Web Store listing. Availability of future versions, platform compatibility, and store distribution may change over time, but product pages should describe the current public release rather than outdated launch messaging.
3. Intended use
FootageMark is a productivity tool for marking ranges in supported recorded web videos, keeping source context, organizing clips, and exporting text/metadata-based handoff materials. It is not a video downloading service and does not grant rights to copy, reproduce, distribute, edit, publish, or otherwise exploit third-party video content.
4. Your responsibility for content and sources
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of source videos, timestamps, notes, exports, and any resulting editorial work complies with copyright, license terms, contractual obligations, platform rules, privacy rights, and other applicable requirements. A FootageMark timestamp or Source Pack does not establish permission to use the underlying media.
5. Local data and backups
FootageMark v1.0.0 stores workspace data locally. You are responsible for creating backups you consider necessary and for safeguarding exported JSON, Markdown, CSV, or copied Source Pack material. RANURANU cannot recover local project data that was never transmitted to RANURANU.
6. Supported sites and compatibility
Websites and browser APIs change. RANURANU may update, add, restrict, or remove platform integrations as compatibility is tested. The product does not guarantee uninterrupted compatibility with a third-party site, every video on a supported domain, or future versions of those sites.
7. Timing limitations
FootageMark records browser-media playback positions for the range capture workflow, but does not promise frame-accurate NLE timecode or synchronization equivalent to a professional editing timeline.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use FootageMark to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, bypass access controls, facilitate unauthorized downloading, interfere with websites or services, or misrepresent affiliation with third parties.
9. Third-party services
FootageMark can interact with supported third-party video websites. Those services are independent of RANURANU and are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, technical limitations, and availability. RANURANU does not control them.
10. Intellectual property
FootageMark, its original interface, documentation, icon, and RANURANU branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws to the extent those rights apply. Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify compatibility or source context.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FootageMark is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that compatibility, timing, availability, data retention, or results will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every workflow.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RANURANU is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of or inability to use FootageMark, loss of local data, third-party platform changes, or use of source material without appropriate rights. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes
RANURANU may update FootageMark and these terms as the product evolves. Material changes should be reflected with an updated effective date. Continued use after an update may be subject to the revised terms where permitted by law.
